Tree Stump for Carving
In 2022 the club employed Zammit Tree to remove a 60ft high dangerous tree from close to our club house. We preserved the stump for carving. Here are some photos of the tree after it was felled. We were asked by the tree carving artist to preserve a stump of about 12 feet or 3.5 metres.
Director Roger Keen, also an artist, has produced several images that may be used as inspiration for the tree carver. We are asking club members to help fund the carving by donating generously to this cause. The budget could stretch to $5k. The more our members donate the more detailed the carving.
Below are some carving ideas that our resident artist, Roger Keen, has drawn. We hope that these will assist our members and the tree carving technician in visualizing what may be done with this valuable asset.
