Exertion Required when lawn bowling
Picking up a bowl weighing between 2.5 and 3kg
Walking fairly briskly for about 37m or 120 feet. This is required 12 times during an average game.
Raking or gathering bowls after the play is finished.
Helping to set our the game equipment.
Lawn bowling is suitable for all ages from 9 years old and up.

Common Hazzards when Playing the Game
N.B. This is not an excluisve list, it is a few examples.

Read the statement of health Declaration (The Monitor will ask you if you anser "No" to all the questions)
TRIPPING. The most common hazzard is tripping over a bowl or the edge board that surrounds the green.
CONTACT. Bumping into a shade umbrella or score board. Dropping a bowl or rake.
HEALTH. Sunburn. Dehydration if you don't drink enough water particularly in hot weather. Personal frailities, whatever they may be.
Reporting an Accident
If however, you do have an accident, we ask that you or a witness, complete our Injury or Incident Report form and forwarded it to President Ken Armstrong.
