About the Club Bowls Program.
Click this link to learn more about our Club Bowls Program. During the season members may use club bowls and bowling assist equipment (Bowling Arm or Pusher) on a day to day basis. There is a sign out sheet in the club bowls room that must be filled in every time club equipment is used. This year we will waive the fee for returning bowlers utilizing the program.
Club Bowls are not permitted to be used off the property.

Enabling Equipment or Bowling Assists.
The club owns 6 bowling arms, two of each size, 23", 25" and 27 inches in length. Contact Heather Comba for instruction.
What size of bowling arm is best for you? Stand relaxed with your hands by your side. Close your hand as if gripping the bowling-arm-handle. Measure from the centre of your gripped hand to the mat. Then deduct at least 2 inches. The gripped bowl should be an inch or two above the mat. A bowl weighs between 2 kg and 3 kg.

The more the back-swing the further the bowl will travel. Keep your shoulders square to your aiming point.
Release the hand grip at the base of the swing as you step forward for additional momentum.

The club also owns 6 pushers that are available for members to use.
When we get beyond the restrictions of Covid-19 the procedure is to select a set of bowls or bowling assist and sign it out in the register shown below and ask the Draw Master of the day to verify your entry. Or, by contacting Mike Comba you may arrange to borrow a set of bowls and any bowling assist for the season.
