 Introduction to Milton Lawn Bowls   
 

Thank you so much for your interest in learning to lawn bowl.    

It is a game that can be played at all skill levels and at all ages. Milton Lawn Bowls prides itself on being a safe and all inclusive organization.            

Training:  Thank you for registering for this New Bowler Training.  Should these dates not work for you please contact coaching@miltonlawnbowling.ca and arrange for an alternate training time.  The training staff can get you started on the right track.

 Dress Code: Dress is casual, as befits the weather.  Whites are not necessary and in fact discouraged!  

Shoes must be no heels as it will damage the greens.  They should be reasonably flat. Running shoes with a light tread and sandals are usually ok.

 Equipment:  Lawn bowls come in a variety of sizes.  The club has a wide selection for new members and guests to borrow, there is no cost! 

Please register as New Member on line.  You have 30 days before you pay your fee,  You can participate in many activities at the club such as:

a)      Jitneys:  This is a “drop in” event.  There is no fee and no need to register ahead of time.  The draw-master will create a draw based on the players present.  There are 5 jitneys weekly go to our calendar 3 day time & 2 evening Jitneys  View Milton Lawn Bowls Calendar of Events by Month

b)     In-club:  Optional bowling events for members every couple of weeks, in the evenings or on the weekend. There is an additional entry fee for these (usually $5 or $10) and please sign up for these events on line registration  Tournament & Social in Club events 

c)      Open Milton Lawn Bowls Tournaments:  These events are usually on the Wednesdays or Saturday and are open to all members of the Milton Lawn Bowls as well as members of other clubs.  For these events you create your own team and must pay an entry fee.  there is also a list of all Open Tournaments in Ontario you can enter as well. 

 Adult fee for membership is $210.00 per year.  $30.00 Juniors The full season is from Mid-May to end of September.  As a member you are entitled to play in all events, use of equipment, and full use of the facility. Or if you wish to become a social member & support our club just $25.00
