OLBA Open Fours Pickering

 District and Open Provincials Playdowns in Ontario (OLBA)

All Ontario players in good standing (paid up membership) are able to participate in the Provincial playdowns.  These playdowns can be entered in two different ways. 

A) District Playdowns. There are three playdowns that require you to first play in your district and the winner of the district attends the provincial playdowns.  Winners of these provincial playdowns do not go to the Nationals. 

            1)  District playdown for Novice Aussie Pairs on July 25 and 26 in Port Credit.  Winner must go to provincials August 15 and 16.  Men are in Bobcaygeon and 

                 women are in Coburg.

            2)  District playdowns for mixed pairs on August 8 and 9 in Milton.  Winner must go to provincials September 12 and 13.  Location TBA

            3)  District playdown for Novice Singles on August 29 and 30 in Oakville.  Winner must go to provincials Sept 26 and 27 in Belleville

B)  Open Provincials:  Players do no have to play at the district level.  Men and Women play separately in these events.  They are played in different formats:  Senior Triples, Fours, Pairs and Singles,  They occur over various weekends.  The winners of these events MUST go on to the Canadian Championships.

 1)  Men and Women Open Fours play on June 13 and 14 in Pickering.  Canadian Championships are August 16-20, 2026.  Location TBA      

 2)  Men and Women Open Senior Triples play on June 23 and 24 in Hanover.  Canadian Championships are August 25-30, 2026.  Location TBA

 3)  Men and Women Singles play on July 4 and 5 in Guelph for Women and Heritage for Men. Canadian Championships are August 21-24, 2026.  Location                     TBA

 4)  Men and Women Pairs play on July 11 and 12 in Windsor for men and Dresden for women. Canadian Championships are August 16-20, 2026.  Location                    TBA

C)  There are also Para and Youth/Junior Provincial Playdowns.
