Annual Club Membership Fee, OLBA Membership Card & Annual Stickers.
When a member pays their annual club membership fee to their (Parent) club, a part of their fee is remitted to the OLBA. In return the member is provided with an OLBA Membership Card and an ANNUAL STICKER for the current year. This membership card must be used as proof of OLBA membership whenever the member enters an OLBA district or provincial competition. Further, any member registering for another club's OPEN tournament may be asked to present their up-to-date OLBA membership card. Please carry you membership card in your wallet and always bring it with you when you pay your annual club membership fee.
At Milton, we issue ANNUAL STICKERS to members when they pay their annual fee. If you lose your sticker you will have to re-pay your OLBA fee to obtain a replacement. The club pays for, and is issued, ONLY one sticker for each member per season. Replacement stickers cost the club money so their replacement is not free. Pleae look after your membership card.
One of the additional benefits of OLBA membership is liability insurance when lawn bowling See OLBA website for further information anbout insurance.
What is a Parent Club v's a Non Parent Club?
Players may belong to more than one lawn bowling club at the same time. This gives them the membership privileges at each club. Among other things, they will meet a new group of people, experience different greens, participate in club events, training opportunities and book practice times.
When a player pays their annual fee to their chosen Non Parent Club (it's your responsibility to tell that club' membership person that you have a different Parent club) you will receive a discounted Non-Parent club membership fee because you do not have to pay the OLBA fee twice and neither does the club.
