What is a Parent Club v's a Non Parent Club?
Players may belong to more than one lawn bowling club at the same time. This gives them the membership privileges at each club. Among other things, they will meet a new group of people, experience different greens, participate in club events, training opportunities and book practice times.
The first club they join is called their Parent Club. Any additional club is a Non-Parent Club.
* Claiming a Membership Fee discount at the Non Parent Club:
When a player pays their annual membership fee to a Non-Parent Club, that club does not have to remit an OLBA fee on their behalf as their fee will be paid by the Parent club. Consequently the annual Non-Parent club membership fee should be discounted by the amount of the current OLBA fee. N.B. The OLBA fee may vary from year to year. However, it's your responsibility to tell the Non-Parent club' membership person that you have a different Parent club. As proof you must present your OLBA card with the current year's sticker affixed. |
