About In-Club Tournaments
Several times a year we hold tournaments on week ends and holidays that are for members and their guests. These are Jitney format and casual dress to fit the weather.
A month by month list of both Open and In-Club tournaments may be found under the "Our Club" menu / sub menu "Tournaments".
We ask that you sign-up for the In-Club events using the white binder located in the club house. The event sign-up sheet is used by the Draw Master to plan the day.
Most tournaments have an additional fee and offer a 50/50 raffle. Look for the code BL in the website calendar, event description, this alerts you to bring your lunch.
We also hold three Social tournaments on Thursday evenings. June, it's strawberries. July, it's raspberries. August it's corn. See the calendar on the website for the dates.
Refreshments during Tournaments. We ask ALL members to help prepare hot and cold drinks on an as needed basis. If the coffee pot is empty, then feel free to make a new one. Instructions are at the back of the machine. Frozen juices are in the freezer and cold drinks are available in the refrigerators (there is a price list near by).
Note. On Canada Day we ask players to wear red and white.
Most of our in-club tournaments start at 10 AM and finish by about 5 PM. During that time we will likely play three, 12 end games. Each game takes about 90 minutes. Cash prizes are awarded in accordance with our prize payout guidelines.
Above all we bowl for pleasure so for casual tournaments you will not be expected to play in very wet or very humid weather. You are at liberty to drop out at any time. Your health matters.
